Videoverse Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 15, 2024
Videoverse is a YouTube management platform operated by the Videoverse team. We are committed to protecting channel owner, collaborator, and viewer data. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is designed to satisfy Google’s YouTube API Services Terms of Service and data handling requirements.
Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways when you connect a YouTube channel or use the app:
- Google account details: When you authorize Videoverse through Google OAuth 2.0, we receive an access token and refresh token. We never receive your Google password.
 - YouTube channel data: Metadata about channels, videos, performance metrics, playlists, and comments as allowed by the scopes you grant.
 - Workspace content: Data you add to Videoverse, such as briefs, tasks, notes, and uploaded assets.
 - Usage metadata: Logs of sign-ins, API calls, and feature usage to improve stability and security.

How we use information
- Provide channel analytics, scheduling, and collaboration features.
 - Automate actions you request, such as uploading videos or updating metadata.
 - Maintain security, prevent abuse, and resolve support issues.
 - Generate aggregated, anonymized insights to improve the product.

How we share information
Videoverse does not sell personal information. We share data only with:
- Google/YouTube: We send data to the YouTube Data API to perform actions you initiate.
 - Subprocessors: Privacy-compliant vendors that provide hosting, logging, and monitoring. Each subprocessor is bound by data protection agreements.
 - Legal or safety requirements: When required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

Data retention
We retain Google OAuth refresh tokens until you revoke access or delete your workspace. Workspace data is retained for 30 days after deletion for recovery and audit, after which it is permanently removed unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Your choices
- You can revoke Videoverse’s access to your Google account at any time through the Google security dashboard.
 - Request export or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@videoverse.example.com.
 - Update workspace information within the app settings.

YouTube API compliance
Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum set of scopes necessary for Videoverse features, and use data exclusively for you and your authorized collaborators.
Children
Videoverse is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify workspace owners via email and in-app banners before material updates take effect.
